Recording money
Recording income and spending
Adding one transaction, and what each field is for.
The quickest route
“Add transaction” sits in the header on every screen. It needs an amount, a date, a category and an account; a description is worth adding because it is what Lumio matches against when suggesting a category later.
Income versus expense
The type decides which way the money moves. Categories are typed too — a category set up for expenses will not accept income — which stops a salary landing in “Food & Dining” by accident.
Fixing a mistake
Every transaction can be edited or deleted from the Transactions list. Editing recalculates the month immediately, including safe to spend.
